nonstopscrapper!

I had spent so much time scrapping lately and have had alot of things to complete. The LSS where I work is opening an online store, so I have done some LOs to put in the gallery there. I am also in 2 swaps at the moment - one is to make 2 chipboard frames and embellish them using the color the person has chosen. My other swap is an ATC swap - have had lots of fun making these using my new Autumn Leaves stamps. Love that stamp set! I also have a wekly challenge that needs to be done by Sunday, and a workshop tonight using a foam stamp that you heat and press objects onto to create a different sort of stamped look on LOs.

Fav Stuff at the moment:
Autumn Leaves stamps
Journalling tags
Inks (ink everything!)
Paint - am only just starting to use this on my LOs, and am really enjoying using it - I use it instead of ink around pages or photos, so now with my inks and paints I have a huse selection of colours to choose from.
My BIG News!
I memtioned in an earlier post that I was in "Scrap Idol" at my LSS. Well I was the lucky winner! It is really nice to know that others like what I do.And I got a great prize pack, so I was very happy with that!

Stamp Workshop

On Friday night I went to a workshop where we made cards, invites and a LO using the new Fiskars stamp range. I used the baby one and was really happy with the end result. The stamps were so easy and fun to use, and so I ordered a set. Look forward to using those in future LOs! The ladies I do the workshop with are keeping me very busy. We also do monthly challenges, where every week they post a new challenge - I have almost finished last weeks LO about someone we admire, and tomorrow (if I can!) might make a start on this weeks challenge, which is to do a LO using springtime colours with flowers, brads - and it must have at least 5 photos. I have never used this many on one LO before, so I can't wait to do this!

Today......

Worked today at "my" scrapbook store. I am really enjoying it now I am getting the hang of it a bit more! I really like helping customers that come in and ask for advice, and I love being in a scrapbook shop all day! Tomorrow i will be finishing off some OTP projects (mini fridge magnets) and am hoping to get started on my "recipe challenge" where I have to do a LO with what was listed in the "recipe". Like : 2 photos only, 2 chipboard scrolls etc. We can use only the things listed and I am looking forward to doing this - challenging and fun! Am off to a workshop Fri night where we will be doing a new range of stamps to make cards - have seen examples - very cute!

Busy busy busy

Went to a crop on Friday night. While we scrapped, we got our feet pampered, which was the best! Soaking, scrub and cream - would love to do that again! I got half a LO done, and mucked around with some OTP stuff, but we mainly talked. Dont mind that, there's lots of laughs too. I am going on my first scrapbook retreat in Sept (or is it Oct?) so I am really looking forward to that! Found a nice little S/B shop today, so of course I had to go in and buy something! Just p/papers mainly. Can never have enough of that! Have a new challenge to complete this week, and another cybercrop in a couple of weeks. This scrapping keeps me so busy, but I'm not complaining!

You and me

This is from a monthly challenge where we had to do a black and white LO. (12/08/07 - I have just had this LO framed. It is black, and there is room between the glass and the LO if there is any embellishments that stick up a bit. Love this frame!)

Update

Well it has been so long since I have added anything in here, so I will fill you in on my last month or so. Scrapping is taking up most of my time so alot of LOs have been done in this time , mainly with a group of ladies that I scrap with. I went on my 2nd bus trip with them, this time to Toowoomba. What a great day - great shops and great food - and lots of fun! I am also taking part in scrap idol at my local scrapbook shop, and the last one is in the window, so voting will end soon. It has been going for months now and has given me some great ideas on what to scrap. I am also on the design team at that shop, then last month I was lucky enough to be offered a job there. So I worked there today and was able to help a couple of ladies out and that was really good. Still getting the feel of it all though and I learn something new every time I work there. So scrapping all the time - if I'm not doing it - I am thinking about it!

Big Weekend

Last night I went to a crop night and it was so much fun!! I did'nt get much scrapping done, but we had cake for someones b'day, and lots of laughs. And now I am doing my first cybercrop. There is 4 LOs to do. and so far I have finished 2, so 2 more to do tomorrow. The ladies running the cybercrop are also running competitions, and tonight I won one of them, so that was exciting. Not sure what the prize is yet, but will find out soon I guess. So a big weekend for scrapping for me, little bit of pressure, but great fun and I'm enjoying it!

Ready to hand in

Well, I really have just about finished my LO for scrap idol. I am very happy with it now, just need some wider ribbon, then in it goes! Only 2 more rounds of idol to go. Being in Scrap Idol has been great, because I have done LOs that I would never have done, plus there is some OTP stuff that I love, and am happy to have been able to do it.

Must finish LO for Scrap Idol, due in tomorrow!

This is the top view of a tin I scrapped, titles "10 things I love about my girls". This mini album inside is still a work in progress.

This is my little dog, Sasha. This is part of a circle album all about my family.

This is my husband and I on our wedding day.

Not a happy scrapper!!

After waking up and looking at my LO from yesterday, I have decided that I hate it and MUST make some changes - luckily nothing has been stuck down! Have'nt started yet, but I know what I want to do with it now.

Here I go

On the weekend just gone, I went to workshop where we made a Mini tin album all about me. There was a great bunch of ladies there, and I am going to a crop night this Fri to the same place. On the Fri night, one of the ladies had some K&Company paper that I just fell in love with, and rushed out to get it the next morn! I was so inspired by the colours etc, that I scrapped all day and into the night, then most of the next day too. So I got to finish some UFP - finally! At the moment I am in a "scrap idol" comp at my local scrapbook store, so today I played around with my LO - it dosent have to be in till this Thurs. In the next month or 2 I have some more workshops to go to, and also a bus tour.
